About R and S Facade Design Limited

R and S Façade Design Limited is now approaching 11 years trading as a standalone design office within the Façade industry. We have 11 designers that all have external envelope experience averaging over 25 years each.

Our customer base cover various products designing and detailing of all aspects of glazing (Windows, Doors, Stick Curtain walling, unitized curtain walling and Shopfronts etc.) and Rainscreen cladding including backing structure (i.e. Metsec SFS) from the standard system products to bespoke solutions.

Various types of Brickslip systems can also be detailed along with various render systems.

We can operate on both single sum fully quoted projects where the required tasks are defined and itemized to an open account policy where we will operate against an hourly rate to suit the requirements of the project.

We prefer to price projects on a fixed sum bases but as a guide our hourly is around £50 per hour.

We currently offer a PI insurance of £2 million against our designs. We can also include for us to take on the structural engineering, acoustic and thermal performance calculations within our package, where we will engage a third party but maintaining the overall coordination and development of the design.

Our average lead period is approximately 3-4 weeks, but this varies depending upon our workload and the project. However, we can often accommodate a quicker response depending upon the task.

We have experience in all aspects of the external envelope façade and take on a variety of projects in various extents of requirements from single detail designs to full building envelope design and manufacture & purchasing schedules. In operating in such a flexible manner enables us to fit the customers’ requirements and budgets.
